STUDIOSTOOL (2023)

  • You can see a stool in multiple arrays of usage, for instance, as a table for movie nights, the extra seat for that one friend, a place for holding books or plants, or as that extra bit of height to reach your winter coat just when you need it. In my opinion, it's the most versatile piece of furniture you can hold in your home. Keeping in mind that a stool moves around the house frequently, I created the "Studio Stool."

To construct the Studio Stool, I have chosen plywood, which is sourced in the easternmost part of Europe. The beautiful texture gives each and every Studio Stool a distinctive look. At last, it is finished with a 4x layer coat of varnish to preserve its beauty. Although you're free to paint this beautiful item your own in any way you desire, keep it as is or give it a piece of yourself.

I hope you'll enjoy this Studio Stool.
    Have a nice day!

Embracing the dark Zine (2024)

  • Loneliness is perceived as a dark and negative emotion. An emotion we have to face by ourselves. And only by ourselves. Loneliness is a small quiet place. Yet it is ever-present in society. This paradox intrigues me. Loneliness is always there. And it is of all times. For many however it is still taboo to discuss. Loneliness is often viewed as a sign of weakness and vulnerability. To me, beneath this “negative” emotion, there is a purity that holds a certain kind of beauty. Beauty only to be found in the dark.

In this dark I find inspiration. I face it in all its beauty. I take it as it comes. Rather than creating something opposite, I choose to embrace the dark. And let it be a guiding light while creating the collection of photographs in this zine. In this collection, I explored being lost, longing for touch, vulnerability, and death. Topics that relate to loneliness.

I hope that you too can find some beauty within the dark. Without the dark, the light won’t shine.
